Brass

Recent graduate from North Central College in Naperville with a degree in Music Education, Drew has been teaching private lessons since 2017. Drew plays the viola and trumpet, and plays regularly with the North Central College Strings and the North Central College Chamber Orchestra. He is a member of the band Sunflower Summit, and their debut album Love Notes was released in early October 2019.

Fred has been teaching private lessons for over 25 years. He studied trumpet performance and music education at Roosevelt University and is very comfortable teaching all brass instruments.  Fred leads his own 13 piece Big Band which performs regularly around the Chicagoland area.  He is lead trumpet with the Buddy Rich Big band, plays with Chuchito Valdes, and many others.  He released his second album M.F.G. in  2021. 

 

Harris completed his BA in Music from North Central College and is currently pursuing his MM in Music
from Northern Illinois University. In addition to teaching, Harris also performs as a member of the
DuPage Symphony Orchestra, Naperville Municipal Band, and the Molten Brass Quintet. Harris’s goal as
a teacher is to help students of all ages develop confidence on the horn and to enjoy making music.

Mike has been teaching private lessons since 1980.  He has a Bachelor's of Music Education from St. Francis and has credit towards a graduate degree from Illinois State University.  Mike has performed with Joliet American Legion Band, Frankfort Brass Band, and Fortress Brass Quintet.
