Yamaha reanalyzed and reevaluated literally every single design specification of their Custom G Series to create the YCL-CSGIIIL. The sound is warm yet has a clear focused center surrounded by a wealth of overtones, resulting in extraordinary beauty and expression.
Special care went into the construction of the bell and barrel with a focus on maximizing expressiveness at louder dynamics. The toneholes, pad materials, and low E/F mechanism were all adjusted to better improve intonation and provide a more uniform response across the instrument.
The YCL-CSGIIIL features a grenadilla wood body, barrel and bell; hand-tapered, undercut tone holes with silver-plated keys; Yamaha's unique CSG bore design; low E/F pitch correction mechanism; and a custom case with cover.
